Fashion Flashback: Burberry Prorsum Womenswear S/S 2014

Models backstage at the Burberry Prorsum show at London Fashion Week.

There's a great video of the entire Burberry Prorsum Spring/Summer 2014 runway show from London Fashion Week that showcases not only Christopher Bailey's classic, beautiful and feminine pieces for next year, but the capabilities of the new iPhone 5s (as the show was shot entirely using the phone's camera).

The looks could've bordered on demure, with the conservative pencil skirt ruling the runway, but with its varying textures and fabrics (Bailey utilized lace, suede, cashmere) and whimsical colors and patterns, it's a refreshing take on a classic silhouette.  Bailey explained to the Telegraph:
"I like the idea of working with old fashioned crafts.  And we're also doing a collaboration with Apple today - I like that contrast between old and new."

Style Inspiration: Mod

I rarely do outfit posts, but this dress was a steal and it felt very 60s-inspired in its pattern and shape -- I rounded out the look with red lipstick and a subtle cat eye.

Through the Lens: Kill Your Darlings

Ben Foster, Daniel Radcliffe, Dane DeHaan and Jack Huston in Kill Your Darlings.

Director John Krokidas' upcoming film Kill Your Darlings made its debut at film fests earlier this year and will have a limited release on October 18th.  It is based on the true story of the murder of David Kammerer by Lucien Carr.  Carr was an integral member of the Beat Generation along with three young men who went on to become iconic voices of the 1950s -- William S. Burroughs, Allen Ginsberg and Jack Kerouac.  The cast includes Michael C. Hall as Kammerer, Dane DeHaan as Carr, Ben Foster as Burroughs, Daniel Radcliffe as Ginsberg and Jack Huston as Kerouac.  It looks intriguing and thus far has been well-received by critics.
